About the Usenet
The Usenet is a worldwide network that was developed parallel to the Internet. Its main focus is on the information exchange of a multitude of subjects, organized in so called newsgroups. Even though an Internet connection is necessary to access the Usenet, it is a stand-alone platform.
You can find more information about the Usenet here:
The subjects that are being discussed on the Usenet are organized in so called newsgroups. Each newsgroup has its own subject and the users can exchange ideas on the respective subject. Therefore, newsgroups can be compared to subjects in Internet forums (so called threads). All registered users can participate in the discussions.
Just like a browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc.) is needed in order to access the Internet, the Usenet requires a so called newsreader. The newsreader allows you to find specific contents on the Usenet and to take part in discussions.
The Usenet and the Internet have been invented almost simultaneously and their expansion is comparable to each other. However, as decentralized structures emerged, the Usenet became more and more confusing for new users. This shortcoming has been removed during the course of the years so that accessing the Usenet with our service is now really easy.
Accessing the Usenet you can find help for a variety of issues, take part in discussions or recall data.
Once you have found a newsgroup that is of interest for you, you can post an article. That means that you create a message with your contribution to the topic. You can find more detailed information on how to post articles in your newsreader's instructions.
Your account must be activated once for uploading, if you wish to post data files in the Usenet. Please be aware this activation is possible no earlier than 30 days after registering for UseNeXT.
Simply send an email with the following information to email@example.com, in order to have the upload function activated:
- customer number or username
- email address, which was given during registration
- the last 3 digits of bank account / credit card number, which was entered during registration
Generally it is not possible to upload data with the Tangysoft Client. UseNeXT does offer the access to the Usenet, however does not operate own servers, on which you can load data files.
Uploading contents protected by copyright is indictable. Please report any data, which you feel is against prevailing law, to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Due to the abundance of files on the Usenet we are unfortunately not able to search for illegal or copyrighted files ourselves. Therefore, we need your assistance in that matter. If you find such files, please report them to email@example.com.
The registration process
After successfully registering, you will be immediately redirected to the member's area and automatically logged in. There you can select from a number of different newsreaders and we recommend the Tangysoft Client.
In the case of the Tangysoft Client, all you have to do is download it, install it and log in - then you can start enjoying UseNeXT right away!
We will also send you an e-mail with the subject "Your login data for UseNeXT" for your records.
As soon as we have received your registration form you will receive your login data directly by e-mail. This provides access both via the member's area on www.usenext.com and the newsreader you are using.

UseNeXT is an access provider that offers you access to the Usenet. This is comparable with the services of an Internet Provider.
The information on the Usenet is stored on numerous servers that do not belong to us. We have no influence on the files that are found and uploaded. We only provide access.
We leave it to the customer to know what they are downloading from the Usenet. We also encourage users who have download data that they feel violates the law to immediately report it at firstname.lastname@example.org.
During the free trial period you can switch to one of our full subscriptions at any time. In order to simplify this process for you we already collect your payment data during the registration. Of course, your credit card or a PayPal account will only be charged if you decide to use our service after the trial period.
If you did not receive a callback you can request the security code anew. All necessary information can be found in the email that you have received from us. If the second attempt fails or if you have not received an email please contact our support team.
Is it possible that you mistyped your e-mail address? Please contact our support team so that we can check and, if necessary, correct your contact information.
It is also possible that your mailbox is full or that your spam settings do not allow our e-mails to be delivered to your mailbox.
It can take up to 10 minutes to activate your account. If you still have difficulty gaining access after this period, please contact our support team.
Using the free download mode you can download up to 300 GB during your free trial period. No download volume is deducted if you select this mode. You can switch between the two modes by clicking on either one of them in the right upper corner in your Tangysoft Client.
In order to purchase more download volume please log in to your member area and click on "Download volume recharge". In the next step, you can select your desired package if you are currently subscribed to a package with a duration of up to one month.
If you are making use of a plan with a running period of several months, you have the advantage to prepone the next months download volume.
Example: If your contract was completed on the 1st of the month, but you realize by the middle of the month that you need additional high speed data volume, you may easily draw data from the next month. You can repeat this process as many times as you wish until your entire data volume from the last month of the contract has been drawn. This will not change the terms of your package.
Once you have drawn the entire data volume from the last month of your contract, you can extend your contract under the above menu item or order another package. The term of the new package shall commence immediately.
In order to finish your membership please inform us about it via phone, via letter or via our support form.
If you registered directly for a data volume plan with costs, you are able to revoke this order within the first 14 days. Your revocation must be made via phone, postal or as request using the online-support-form.
If you subscribed to a paid plan and do not wish to extend your membership, a telephonic or written cancellation (letter or online contact form) is required at least seven days before the plan expiration.
If you register for a trial plan you can finish your registration at any time during the trial phase.
You can request your login details again by clicking here.
After submitting the e-mail address that you used upon registration, we will immediately send you your login details.
